Students from Kyushu Institute of Technology Attended Short-Term Program at YZU

 From January 6 to January 16, 2018, 15 students from Kyushu Institute of Technology attended a 10-day program including academic seminar, Chinese language learning and cultural experience.

  On January 7, Japanese professors and students participated in the 7th Students Workshop, National Institute of Technology, Kitakyushu College, Kyushu Institute of Technology and Yangzhou University. On the opening ceremony, Ms. Guo Li, dean of College for Overseas Education, and Prof. Serikawa Seiichi, dean of Engineering, respectively delivered a speech. They referred to the fruitful results yielded in the cooperation between Yangzhou University and Kyushu Institute of Technology, and encouraged young students to promote mutual understanding, enhance friendship, and play a positive role in developing China-Japan relationships. Then Chinese and Japanese students conducted a workshop in electronic communication and visited the Electrical and electronic laboratory in College of Information Engineering.

  In the following days, Japanese students had access to Chinese language learning and cultural experience such as Peking Opera Masks, Chinese Knots, Chinese Calligraphy, Clay Sculpture, Chinese Painting, Taiji, Huaiyang Cuisine, etc. Besides, volunteers from College of International Studies became their language buddies and they nurtured deep friendship.

  This short-term program helped students not only improve Chinese but also explore unique Chinese culture, which received recognition from Japanese students.
