II.About X1-Type Visa

1. International students who come to China on X1 visa shall apply for the residence permit at the public security office within 30 days after entering the country. The fees for residence permit is RMB 400 yuan and you can pay with cash, Alipay or Wechat. Bring a photo（size: two inches) with you.

2. When new students adopt the residence permit, the university will make the arrangement. Students need to pay attention to the gathering time and place inFirst-week Schedule.Whoever misses the arrangement due to personal reasons has to go to the Division of Exit & Entry Admission, Yangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau by himself.

3. When applying for the residence permit, students shall take the following materials: passport and passport photo page copy in the passport, visa/residence permit copy in the passport, latest entry-stamp page copy in the passport, application form for visa certificate of foreigners offered by the university, admission letter copy, JW 201/202 form copy, physical examination certificate copy, residence permit report issued by the university and university certificate.

III.About X2-Type Visa

1. X2 visa is for those who will study less than 6 months in China. Foreigners who hold the X2 visa shall apply for the Returning Visa back to China at Public Security Bureau when leaving the country during the study period. Otherwise they will not be able to enter the country again.

2. The visa for returning to China shall be applied 10 days before departure. Applicants shall bring “application form for visa certificate of foreigners” and “temporary accommodation certificatein（改为on）or off the campus” stamped by College for Overseas Education.

3. The validity of the X2 visa shall be within a period up to six months. Students shall extend the Visa at public security bureau 10 days before the expiry with the officially stamped “Application form for Visa certificate of Foreigners”.

IV.Miscellaneous

1. After receiving the visa, please pay attention to the validity of the visa and extend it in time within the validity period. Please consult the school teacher or public security organ for any questions in regard of the visa. Overstay with expired visa is illegal, and the offender will be fined 500RMB a day, detained or deported.

2. When changes are made in the current address, school information, passport replacement, JW 201/202 form or other items related to the visa, students need to make the modification at the public security bureau and inform College for Overseas Education in a timely manner.

Physical Check

II.About Physical Check

1. All the international students who are admitted by YZU should take the physical check at Yangzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau at given time and get the Health Certificates accordingly. Those who refuse to do the physical check can not do the registration. Those who are ascertained upon examination as patients of any disease due to which no entry is allowed, as specified in China’s laws, shall leave immediately for their home country.

2. When new students go on doing the physical check, the university will make the arrangement. Students need to pay attention to the gathering time and place inFirst-week Schedule.Whoever misses the arrangement due to personal reasons has to go to the Yangzhou Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau by himself.

3. When taking the physical check, students shouldn’t have breakfast and need to bring the following materials: passport, two passport-size photos, cash RMB 250 yuan, application form for the physical check, letter of authorization, notification from Jiangsu International Health Care Center.
