COE hosted monthly meeting of Teaching Supervision Group for International Students on November 18th.

The members of Teaching Supervision Group reported to the administrative board of COE on the teaching supervision statistics for the past month, and pinpointed the issues that comes along with the online teaching as well as the digital courseware development for the international students. Each group member offered their suggestions for consistent improvement of teaching outcomes.

Prof. Jiang, the deputy Dean and the meeting modulator, emphasized the importance of teaching process supervision which is the key element to guarantee the educational outcomes. Administrative Dean of College for Overseas Education, Yao Xiaoqun, appreciated the efforts from Teaching Supervision Group to guarantee and improve the quality of teaching. She suggested that each member of the Teaching Supervision Group would focus on specific colleges in order to provide in-depth assessments and offer online teaching improvement suggestions accordingly. Zhang Yin, Dean of the College for Overseas Education, envisioned that the supervision process can help identify excellent group of instructors and the most flexible teaching pedagogy. The joint efforts from the course instructors and the Teaching Supervision Group will contribute to our unique teaching and learning system and standards for international students, shedding light on high quality international education.
