International Students Reading Chinese ClassicsIn order to guide the international students to get close to Chinese classics and love Chinese language and characters, and to further promote the excellent Chinese traditional culture among international students, upon the request of the Jiangsu Provincial Language Affairs Committee and the Provincial Department of Education, a reading competition named “International Students Reading Chinese Classics” will be held. The following are the related issues:?xml:namespace>
Competitors: All international students of Yangzhou University
Requirements:
① Contents: Recite the classic Chinese poems and proses that can reflect the excellent traditional Chinese culture and modern civilization in mandarin, including excellent ancient and modern literature with social influence and local famous works with humanistic characteristics (ancient poems and proses are highly recommended). There is no restriction on the genre. Foreign works, Internet works, modern anonymous works and self-created works are excluded from consideration.
② Forms: The works can be recited individually or collectively by no more than 8 participants. Music, costumes, props and other flexible forms or diverse auxiliary means are encouraged to be used to present the reading content.
③ Video Requirements:
The video should be 3-6 minutes in the format of MP4. The definition is no less than 720P and the size is no more than 300MB. Image and sound are required to be clear, without shaking and noise. It’s requested to show “the name of works, Yangzhou University and participant’s passport name” at the beginning of the video.
