Dear students,

  The COVID-19 outbreak in Nanjing Lukou airport has reached Yangzhou. Since July 28th, 28 locally transmitted cases have been confirmed, and 5 community zones have been classified as the medium-risk areas. The University launched immediate epidemic prevention and control measures to this emergency with prompt response and cooperation from all the faculty members and students. To ensure your safety and health and to help curb the spread of the epidemic, the University hereby issues the following reminders.

  First, abide by the regulations and rules of YZU and respective communities and follow the procedures of the epidemic prevention and control. Do not go outside of the campus without permission and compelling reasons. Off-campus students shall not return to school from now on. Follow the requirements of YZU and respective communities on the nucleic acid test. Students in other cities shall not go to medium/high risk regions and shall limit unnecessary traveling.

  Second, enhance self-protection by following daily prevention and control routines. Wear masks properly, wash hands often, keep your room ventilated, avoid crowds when dining, pay close attention to food sanitation and balanced nutrition, keep the one-meter social distance, clean and disinfect the high-touch surfaces regularly and develop good personal hygiene habits.

  Third, monitor your health daily and comply with the routine check of your health code and travel track. Report immediately to your teacher if any suspected symptom or visits in places listed by epidemiological investigations is spotted, and stay where you are for further instructions.

  The battle is still on. “No victory should be lightly announced until there is a complete win”. As a member of the YZU family, we shall never fabricate, blindly believe in or spread any rumor but strictly follow the guidance and overcome difficulties in confidence and with concerted efforts.
