Lecture—Chinese Folk MusicCollege for Overseas Education launched a lecture—Chinese folk music on Nov. 21. More than 30 students from Belgium, Columbia, Mongolia, Vietnam, Egypt, Indonesia, Thailand, Mozambique, South Africa and other countries took part in the lecture.
Chinese teacher Lu Di introduced the concept of Chinese folk music, classification, the ancient Chinese music view and the basic gestures of Chinese classical dancing.
Followed the teacher’s demonstration, the students learned basic knowledge and how to distinguish different tone colors among different instruments. Not only teacher Lu played Chinese traditional music by playing Chinese bamboo flute , but also student PICON HOSSAIN RAFAEL DE JESUS played African drum on the spot. The excellent intercommunication between eastern and western traditional music attracts the attention of all the students.
The implicit and elegant features of Chinese classical dancing also arouse the enthusiasm of the international students, they tried their best to do the complex gestures one by one danced with joy.
All the students felt the charm of Chinese folk music and classical dancing from the experience.
