To enrich the extracurricular life of international students, College for Overseas Education of Yangzhou University gave a lecture on Chinese calligraphy on October 30.
The teacher introduced four treasures of the study as well as Chinese calligraphy history, and showed the students different scripts such as seal script, official script, regular script, running script, cursive script, etc. After introduction, the teacher handed out the brushes and Xuan papers, and taught the students how to practice Calligraphy. This lecture not only deepened the students’ understanding of Chinese Calligraphy, but also provided them an opportunity to create their own work of art through which demonstrated their love for Chinese culture.
