The Qingming Festival is one of the 24 solar terms as well as Chinese traditional festivals. College for Overseas Education held a lecture on this festival.

  The teacher presented a video on 24 solar terms at the very beginning of the lecture, and introduced the brief information, origin and the customs of Qingming Festival. The students were also shown the process of making the traditional Chinese food “Qingtuan”. Then the teacher introduced a classic Chinese poem “Qingming” written by Dumu. The students tried to practice writing the poem “Qingming” they just learned.

  This lecture not only presented the international students the customs of the Qingming Festival and the tradition of tomb-sweeping in memory of the ancestors, but also provided an opportunity for them to perceive the beauty of Chinese poems.
