从前，有一个人带着一把剑坐船，船正在行驶，突然听见扑通一声，剑掉到了水里。这该怎么办呢?这个人非常着急，突然他想到一个办法：他用小刀在船上刻了一个印记，便继续坐在了船上。

划船的人看到了，非常着急，对他说：“我把船停下来，你赶快去把剑捞起来吧!”但是那个人却指着印记说：“不着急，等到了再说，我在船上画了一条线，剑是从这掉下去的，到时候从这里下去找就行了。”

划船的人又说：“你的剑掉到了水里，剑又不会跟着船走，到了对岸是找不到的。”但是那个人没有反应，于是船夫就把船划到了对岸，这时，那个人脱掉了衣服，从船上那条线跳下去，但是捞了很久都没有找到。

这个故事告诉我们，世界上任何事物都是不断地变化发展的，以静止的眼光来看待变化发展的事物，必将导致错误的判断。
